About Me

Jessie Cheng is an economic and workforce development leader specializing in strategic planning, workforce innovation, project management, customized workforce training, and work-based experiential learning. With more than five years of experience at a California community college, she leads initiatives that connect education, industry, and emerging technologies to address evolving workforce needs.

Her work spans ETP-funded customized workforce training, employer partnerships, work-based experiential learning, and regional workforce initiatives, with an increasing focus on AI- and XR-enhanced training solutions. She is particularly interested in leveraging emerging technologies to strengthen training delivery, improve operational efficiency, and support workforce outcomes.

Drawing from her experience managing customized workforce training, Jessie developed a centralized learning management system (LMS) framework designed to streamline training administration, participant tracking, reporting, and performance measurement. This work also informed her doctoral research examining barriers and strategies for LMS implementation in California’s customized workforce training environment.

Beyond workforce development, Jessie’s interest in beauty, technology, and medical aesthetics led her to create NeuroAesthetica, an AI-driven platform designed to help individuals explore personalized aesthetic treatment options.

Jessie is actively involved in collaborative initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, technology integration, and work-based experiential learning. She has also served in leadership roles supporting student success, employee well-being, and community engagement.

Jessie holds an MBA and a Doctor of Management (DM) in Information Systems & Technology from the University of Phoenix, with doctoral research focused on technology implementation in customized workforce training. She also holds certifications in Medical Office Management and Healthcare Information Systems.

Outside of her professional work, Jessie enjoys cycling, skiing, camping, white-water kayaking, and scuba diving.
